AfriCat Letter Of Thanks
AfriCat Foundation Namibia is a nature conservation trust that researches and protects and researches Namibia’s large carnivores since 1993.
The AfriCat Foundation is a nature conservation trust aimed at protecting and researching Namibia’s large carnivores. Since 1993, we have successfully rescued 1,080 trapped large carnivores, of which over 85% were successfully re-integrated into the wild.
We have two main conservation areas: Farm Okonjima, in central Namibia, which also hosts the Okonjima Lodge, and AfriCat North, on the southern border of Etosha National Park. On the lodge, we have long since identified the BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain tyre to offer the best price-performance ratio, with the best balance between traction and longevity on extremely inhospitable terrain, from stone to woody undergrowth to sand and mud.
AfriCat Namibia had received a sizeable donation from AfriCat UK, enabling us to purchase two new Nissan NP300 4×4 bakkies, to partially replace our old and worn-out fleet. Naturally, the move to BF Goodrich was an important consideration from the start, but not possible with the funding available. This is where BF Goodrich South Africa came to our rescue, sponsoring two full sets of tyres for these vehicles. It is with utmost gratitude that we recognize your generous contribution.
